National Park in Nagaland

Ntangki National Park located in the Peren district of the state of Nagaland. Ntanki covers a total area of 202.02 Km2 and was declared as a National Park in 1993. It is home to Hoolock gibbon, Palm civets, Black stork, Tiger, Golden langur, flying squirrel, Sloth bear, Wild dogs, Monitor lizard and Python.

Nagaland is the land of festivals. To encourage inter-tribal interaction and promote cultural heritage of Nagaland the local government organize a festival every year in 1st week of December is called as "Hornbill Festival". The festival is name after the Hornbill, the globally respected bird which is displayed in folklore in most of the state tribe's. Hornbill festival is held at Naga heritage village Kisama, which is about 12 km from state capital Kohima.

The week-long festival unites one and all in Nagaland and people enjoy the colourful performances, cultural medley - songs and dances, fashion shows, crafts, sports, food fairs, herbal medicine stalls, games and ceremonies. Traditional arts which include paintings, wood carvings, and sculptures are also on display.
